Find two people to audio-record the dialogue below as this is a listening activity.
Give students the table below with three columns. Then, ask them to fill out the column labeled ‘Me’ with details of their parents. After that, play the audio about Julie’s parents to the students and ask them to fill out the column labeled ‘Julie’.
Script
Interviewer: Julie, can you tell us a little about your parents: their names, profession, and age.
Julie: Sure. My father’s name is Edward. He is a science teacher. He teaches biology and chemistry at the high school in our town. He’s 50 years old.
Interviewer: Interesting. How about your mother? What does she do?
Julie: My mom’s name is Judy. She is a nurse. She is also 50 years old.
Interviewer: Thanks for introducing your parents to us.
