Instructions to the teacher
- Complete the worksheet below by filling in the left-hand column in each section with different amount of money (e.g. 100, 1000, 25000, etc).
- Print the worksheet and distribute to students. Ask students to use online calculators and convert each amount to the other currency.
- Check their conversions for correctness.
- Let students practice reporting their findings. E.g. “100 dollars are equal to 10,000 Kenya shillings.”
- Discuss as a class which currency is stronger and the implications of that.
