Components of this activity: Schedule sheet

Instructions to the teacher

In advance, create tables like the one below. If you prefer, you could leave the table blank so that students also have to fill in the days of the week. Distribute them to the students and give them time to fill it out using information from their real life class and social schedules. Then, put the students into pairs or groups. They should talk to their partner or group members and find a time when they can both/all meet for two hours to engage in some kind of activity together without showing anybody their schedule. You can either set an imagined activity for them to do or leave it up to the students to decide what they’ll do together.

Instructions to students

You and your partner/group members are trying to find a time when you are all free to meet up for a couple of hours this week. Use your real class schedule as well as any social plans or appointments you have this week to fill in the table. Then, without showing anybody else your schedule, discuss with your classmates to find a time that works for you to meet.
