Students will identify the target language country on the map as well as countries surrounding it.
Instructions to the teacher
- Find a map of the region within which the target language country belongs. The map should have several other countries surrounding the target country.
- Teach students necessary vocabulary (e.g. North, South, East, West, etc.) and phrases (e.g. country X is on the north of country Y).
- Ask students to create similar sentences describing the neighboring countries in relation to the target country.
- You can also teach prepositions in this lesson (e.g. next to, near, under, over, etc.)
