The Passage
I was just talking with our new neighbor who moved here with his family last week. He was telling me about their difficult move and trip here. I had forgotten how exhausting moving is. It’s no surprise that his arms are sore from carrying heavy boxes. But he also has bruises on his legs from bumping into furniture. The worst, though, is that he sprained his ankle going down the stairs in their apartment building.
Questions
- Why does the neighbor have several injuries on his body?
- Which part of the neighbor’s body is sore? What caused it to be sore?
- Which part of the body is bruised? What caused the bruises?
- Which other part of the body did the neighbor hurt? What caused that injury?
Answer Key

- His arms. Because he carried heavy boxes.
- His legs. Bumping into furniture bruised his legs.
