- I applied for a summer internship four months ago and today is the day we’re supposed to hear back from the program. I really hope I get this internship because otherwise I have to spend the summer working at my old job.
- I just found out that one of my best friends is transferring to another university. She got a scholarship, and so I’m happy for her, but I’m really going to miss her. We did everything together and were going to be roommates next year.
- It seems that every year at this time, things get really busy at our office. I can’t seem to finish projects fast enough, even though I often work from home. I’m really hoping we can hire another staff person for this time of year.
- That meeting seemed to last forever. I had trouble concentrating because all I could think about was lunch. Usually I have time to pick up a quick breakfast, but the traffic was so heavy this morning I didn’t eat.
