Students will listen to a conversation and then decide whether various statements are true or false.

Components of this activity: A script, true/false questions, answer key.

Instructions to the teacher

  1. Find someone to record the dialogue script with and save it as an audio file. 
  2. Play it in class and ask students to answer the questions. 

Script

  • A: Hey, let’s get together this weekend, Steve! 
  • B: That sounds great, George! When are you free on Saturday?
  • A: Hmmm, I have to run some errands in the morning. Maybe we can meet for lunch?
  • B: Sure, what time works for you?
  • A: Let’s meet at 2pm at [restaurant name].
  • B: Sounds great, Steve. Maybe we can see a movie after. 
  • A: Excellent! See ya.
