Topic: Personal Information
Mode: Presentational
Level: Novice
Students will practice sharing their personal details with a boss at work.
Instructions to the teacher
Have your students respond to the following scenario or a similar scenario that fits into your target language culture in which students will give their personal details to a senior person.
The scenario
You’ve been just hired and your supervisor has sent you an email asking for your personal details (biographical information) which will appear alongside your picture on the ‘Employees’ board in the office. Write your personal information including all the details you would like your fellow employees to know about you (e.g. full name, nickname, age, where you come from, hobbies, fun fact about you, etc.). Since you are responding to a formal email, use the appropriate salutations (e.g. hello Mx. So and So) and closing (Thank you, Name).
