Have students read the sentences below and match them with the appropriate person in the picture that follows. You can label people in the picture with numbers after downloading/printing the picture.
Alternatively, find a picture from the target culture with several people in it. Create descriptive sentences like the ones below and have students read the sentences and identify a person in the picture.
Students can work in pairs for this activity.

Match each sentence with the picture it best describes.
- The person is wearing a red shirt and a grey scarf. The person is male. He has a mustache.
- This person is wearing a checkered shirt and glasses with a black frame. The person is male.
- This person is a woman, she is wearing a dark grey top and a black coat on top. She has black hair.
