[Mode: Interpretive] [Skill: Reading] The instructor prepares an email to send to students with information for an upcoming class event. Students need to read the email and fill out a graphic organizer with the details of the event.
[Mode: Interpretive] [Skill: Listening] The instructor records an audio message for students with information on an upcoming class event. Students need to listen to the email and write a note to themselves with the details of the event.
[Mode: Presentational] [Skill: Writing] Students are asked to schedule a meeting with their teacher. The meeting can be to discuss class progress, ask questions, review an assignment, set goals for future learning.

Students then line up in 2 lines facing each other with each person complimenting the other and giving a response. One will line will shift to the right and students will give a new compliment and response.
[Mode: Presentational] [Skill: Speaking] Students will listen to songs in the target language on YouTube and select one to win the Grammy (best performer award). They will then write and present a speech in which they complement the artist(s) for their work.
[Mode: Interpretive] [Skill: Listening] Teacher gives verbal clues to students comprise 2+ steps. Students work in pairs to find the correct answer for each prompt, writing their answers on a sheet.
